This Progress Tracker will take you through figuring out what job you might like to do and consider whether you'd benefit from some careers advice!

  • Try an aptitude test

    Try one of the online aptitude tests mentioned on floor 2 to give you an idea of what job you might the suited to:

  • Your personality

    Have a think about these questions and spend some time thinking about your answers.

    Knowing what you like and your strengths and weaknesses is a really important step in deciding what job you want!

    What do I like doing?

    When you are answering this think about what you like doing in your free time as well as at school or in previous roles.

    What would my dream job be?

    Thinking about what job you'd love to do will give you an idea of where your true career passions lie. This dream job may be unrealistic, but think about what core skills are involved in it and what more realistic jobs involve those skills too.

  • Consider a careers adviser

    Think about whether getting some extra help from a career adviser would help you figure out what you want to do.

    If you decide yes, set up a meeting with a careers adviser, either at your school or through an organisation. Make sure to put the date into your calendar so that you don't forget to go!
